Helpringham History Society’s display for the feast weekend of 2012 was of Sporting Helpringham to coincide with the London Olympics. The photos, stories and artefacts on display highlighted the wealth of sporting talent linked to the village and uncovered connections to some of the countries sporting greats. Highlights included a canoe that helped set a world record, stories of training with GB’s Victoria Pendleton and running the London Marathon at 65. |
