Diamond Jubilee Celebration 2012
The Queen's Diamond Jubilee was celebrated in Helpringham with a weekend of activities at the Helpringham Memorial Hall. There was an exhibition by the Helpringham History Society displaying coronation memories, photographs and memorabilia and three trees were planted in the garden of the hall by the Helpringham Garden Club on behalf of all the clubs and societies of Helpringham. A family BBQ was held on the Saturday with face painting and crown making activities for the children. On the Sunday a Cream Tea was provided and a dedication ceremony of the commemorative trees was led by the Rev. Chris Harrington. The weekend was a great success and enjoyed by many.
Our thanks go to everyone who helped in any way to make it such a memorable event.
